Man... Don't think for one second he is doing it for free. He may not be getting a paycheck from the Government for doing what he is doing right this second, but don't think he is doing it for free. He is a billionaire. He didn't get that way by doing anything for free...Most billionaires do give a lot of money away. Most billionaires use their money to open and run businesses.
Elon Musk pays 120,000 people to work in his companies - and now he is working to save us money - for free![]()
Now I dont know for sure, but this is what I heard come out of the Presidents mouth, that Elon, and most of the young kid helpers are either doing it for free, and some where Elons programmers form his companies, and Elon is still paying them to work for Doge from his companies.Man... Won't dispute that, but again, he'll get taken care of eventually though he isn't taking a paycheck right now. Has DOGE looked into NASA? I'm sure they eventually will and things may even get cut. When that happens, I can guarantee what won't get cut. That's how he gets paid. Now I dont know for sure, but this is what I heard come out of the Presidents mouth, that Elon, and most of the young kid helpers are either doing it for free, and some where Elons programmers form his companies, and Elon is still paying them to work for Doge from his companies.
I know there were a few other CEO's that also donated their time to work for Doge as well, I dont recall who, but I bet Google would.

1 thing I do know that DOGE ceases to exist by July 3rd 2026.Man... Don't think for one second he is doing it for free. So with those rebates it seems he got paid in advance?I am a SpaceX nerd, so I do follow a lot of Elons stuff. Elon has cut a couple of his own benefits, one being the $7500 electric vehicle rebate, also cut a solar rebate, which cuts a lot of potential money from his pocket. I believe he also cut the 400 million dollar electric military truck that Biden signed. As for NASA, Elon is doing this stuff for a fraction of what NASA was able to do it for, or any other company, which is why he gets the bids. NASA said their cost to launch satellites was 1.5 billion dollars, and at the time Musk charged 50 million, now its 20 million for each normal size-Falcon 9 launch. Even his heavy and super heavy launches are under 100 million per launch.
Ya, I am a rocket nerd, and I would love to go see Starship launch from South Padre island sometime, but damn work gets in the way. I have seen from afar the launch and landing of a Falcon 9 rocket, it was cool.
That's what we've been led to believe anyway.1 thing I do know that DOGE ceases to exist by July 3rd 2026.
Elon doesn't have to jump through any of the governmental hoops that NASA does, that lowers his cost by allot. Do yo think that the FAA will adopt a new ATC system that is designed and implemented by SpaceX?I am a SpaceX nerd, so I do follow a lot of Elons stuff. I'm not anti-Elon, anti-DOGE, any of that. I just hope nobody is naive enough to think they are doing any of this out of the goodness of their hearts. They are going to get paid, of in the case of the ridiculous rebates I guess they already got paid. Either way, they are taken care of. We still lose, perhaps we just lose less.![]()
