old one eye
Buck Fawn
equipment I have
tractor -56 hp
5' tiller
homemade 7' concrete filled pipe roller
65 gallon sprayer
need
12 volt broadcast spreader - $125
maybe - 12volt solenoid and wireless remote
the plan
make shield for broadcast spreader no more than 5' wide spread (width of tiller)
weld hitch to back of tiller to attach roller
mount broadcaster onto tiller by welding on receiver tube or receiver tube on roller arm
ok - here is the question: Using minimum till -- in dead thatch(under 1")/bare ground (just scuffing dirt) -- would you put the broadcaster before or after the tiller?
other details if needed
planting brassica plots and clover/winter rye/oats plots
clay loam soil - clay hardens and can't just roll seed in - thats why the tiller ( otherwise just feeding seed to all the animals)
will mow - spray (gly)- till deep - spray (gly)- plant -- all at 2 week intervals
in the clover/winter rye/oats plots i plan on mowing WR/oats and having just clover for 1 or 2 seasons -- then into brassica
thanks for helping to steer this ship without a rudder
