Figured I'd make jerky today since we're snowed in. What brand, shape of dehydrators do you fellas use?
I have an old round American Harvest and the trays are pretty beat.
I make ground meat jerky so I can't have anything with huge gaps. Anyone have a favorite?

I purchased the COROSI food dehydrator back in 2021. It's served me well, I see it's on sale on Amazon for $20 off for $139.

I am a big fan of the Excaliber brand. These are top rated, easy to use and clean. Mine has been workday flawlessly for a decade.

I also have the Nesco American Harvest and picked up a second identical one from my dad that he wasn’t using. I’ve been happy with them, it’s nice running 2 at the same time. Recently got a new LEM jerky gun which holds twice what my old one did, it makes a big difference not having to reload as often. If your unit is working properly have you tried finding replacement racks?

I have two cheapies that I got on sale. They have round trays that stack, and a hub in the middle that turns slowly. They also have a dial to adjust the heat. Never tried jerky, but they do mushrooms overnight.
