Deere 390 flail mower

Anybody know much about these? I’ve been in the market for a bush hog but noticed one of these on Marketplace for what seems like a good deal. Are they well thought of? I assume, being a Deere, I could get parts.

Deere flail mowers go for a premium in these parts. They are popular for work along fence rows. The 390 has good reviews on Green Tractor Talk.

That's the exact model I have had for about 10 years. It's actually made by frontier who makes most of the implements for Deere. I have used it on my 5100M and with my 4052r and 4075r and it works great with any of them. 52-100 horse power tractors. I have been very happy with mine. Don't remember what it cost me 10 years ago but I'm sure they have gone up some since then like everything else. I go out and clear some roughly 2" brush/small trees and then go and mow my plots. jmo
