.........After cleaning, does anyone use protective sprays, etc to prevent rust, corrosion etc on metal parts?

I finally got one- $120 CL find- old JD, some rust, and repair. Painted it. Just looking for something to aid with spreading cereals in the fall.

I decided to mix some gear box oil with diesel at 75:25 ratio
