Bag spreader

Buck or anyone I'm curious have you used the solo to broadcast rye I read above it totally sucks.

I've done it plenty, works good. In fact, I'm going to spread a couple hundred pounds of oats with one tomorrow.

After 20 years of use my trusty Solo spreader bounced out of the UTV and was run over with a cultipacker I ordered the Earthway 2750 bag spreader to try something new. Bad move, I don't like the Earthway settings tab because I find when I pull back on the finger tab the setting screw doesn't prevent you from pulling it over the top of the setting point and it can start dispensing too much product. My finger also got quite tired and stressed from holding the tab back while using it. The shoulder strap also ripped loose from the bag when installing the strap and I had to resew it back on with fishing linen, not sure how long that will last. I'll go back to the Solo spreader and keep the Earthway as a backup, just in case I decide to cultipack another spreader.

I think it is supposed to go over that tab. The tab holds it open for you so your finger won’t get tired. That’s how I use mine anyhow.
