Got the same one. Not sure. I like mine at home. However, at camp I got some spots with a tons of small rocks. Wish I ha the more shallow tipped one. Think the high spot just rides the rocks. Still get an ok rye n clover field.I borrow my neighbors cultipacker when I need one. But it’s much different than most…it has larger diameter “star wheels” between each packer wheel and it does a fantastic job.
Were those star wheels put on to drive seeds deeper, or just to punch holes for water retention?
A good heavy meaty one is the key. If I had a ton of options to choose from, I would pick the one in yoderjack's 1st post. The 1st and 2nd row are offset 50%. That action litterraly kneads the seeds in the ground. Even better would be the brillion seeder. Has those double cultipacker weheels that runs a seeder ontop. The double row might be too much for an ATV though.
