Cuddelink L series Q & A

So I am up at my property and went to turn off the emails to the other people on my list while I monkey around with my cams... And the email list is nowhere to be found.
So I came back here to read a little bit and discover they've taken that option off, which is ridiculous. They did this with the text option before too.
Besides wanting to turn off the emails so everybody on my list doesn't see me setting them up etc.... I have people on my list that use a computer to get the pictures via email. They are not going to be interested in an app even if it can be on the computer.
It seems the only reason they are doing this is to save some money somehow because the email companies do not give a rats you know what if we get picture sent to us. They actually make money if you're not deleting the emails and files and you need to buy extra storage.
And how do I get somebody off the email list now?
@john volkman , do the guest users get access to CAMP? Seems like an easy way for those people to see pics on their computer who don't want to use an app.

As long as they have my password etc they probably can. I would prefer not to do that.
I do not understand what the big deal is about leaving it so people can get them by email. Put a warning or notice that they might not get off the pictures, if that's even the case. They are getting all the ones on my list.

I don't think they'll need your password. You can set up guest users on your account now. My understanding is that users can log in and see pics but not make any changes. I think this works across the app and CAMP, but the documentation on this is sparse. Maybe John can point us to the documentation on the guest experience.

I know AI is great, and look forward to Cuddeback automatically tagging photos. But I REALLY miss being able to custom tag them manually. I imagine Cudde will try and distinguish between bucks, does, and other game animals, but I had categories like, dogs, cats, coyotes, bobcat, trespassers, etc. I especially liked being able to show all the dog images at once, to explain to neighbors how much their dogs were (unwelcomly) running my property. I really hope Cudde will consider bringing this option back once the dust settles on their new system. Cheers, Steve.

Thanks, It still won't be as convenient for them though. Everybody loved getting the emails with the pictures. Now they will have to remember to go to Camp to check for new pictures. And if they get an email update saying they got new pictures I'm really going to roll my eyes because why not just send them the pictures then.

I see a reason is because too many emails are being blocked by servers.
That just doesn't make sense. Maybe somebody can direct me to discussions on people having that problem, but regardless I don't see why that's a reason to delete the option for everybody.

And I guess I have to call CS to get anybody off my email list. 🙄
anyone with email delivery is grandfathered so they will continue but you cant change them online any more , if you want someone removed you will need to call CS. if you are on gen 3 firmware there is a "pause " option that lets you choose what dates cameras dont send if you dont want them getting pictures of you setting them up.You can also add Guests and remove them and add them back at your command. Its really nto that hard to use the app. New cell units or users will not have the email option, way too many emails are being blocked ( and not just sent to junk , completely blocked) meaning that you dont even know they are blocked unless you cross reference with camp and the sd cards. It has become way to labor intensive and costly along with a CS time drain to continue text and email service, the app is secure and cant be blocked. There is good reason why almost zero cell camera companies are using email and they all went to app based.

you can set up the app to notify you when new pics are loaded

At the end of hunting season I moved a handful of cameras around, even switching some between two networks. Unfortunately I did not get my normal print out of each network report after each network settled in. Since then, several cameras have gone offline and I'm not 100% sure which are which. Cameras 4 & 17 are offline on one network, and cameras 5 & 11 are offline on the other. Before my next visit back to Kentucky, is there anyway to easily look back to see the names of those cameras before they went offline? Thanks, Steve.

not on camp or the app unfortunately, unlees there is pictures still in camp, you owuld need ot move your date rang eall the way back to when they took pictures if it will go back that far in pic count

A bit of an update on my previous issues and a new one.
1. The cam with the pics being black every other pic def must have a strobe out since it's still doing that in this mild weather. Unless there's something else in the cam not working right. Will test with my old Home unit strobe in it.
2. The pause option didn't work as everyone still got the many pics of me monkeying with the cams. I think I'll set it the day before next time.
3. I have one unit that is sending my pics in a weird order. Getting some from days ago. Never had this before with any of my cams. I noticed it also says "2 links" in the Camp info. All the others say 1. This is a new model and I didn't even turn it off when there. I had a couple of older units I had to manually do the update on though. Maybe turn it off and back on....?

Pause option is not working in the app right now and the engineers are working on it , you are better off using camera disable until they get that fixed which should be soon.
2 links isnt abnormal but sending old pics is unless there is channel interference with naother network on same channel.
