I have 4 G cameras and 1 J all with the 3358 battery packs. Today one finally hit external low. It was at 107 days but oddly enough out of the 4 G cameras it was the one with the least amount of days and pictures. It was only at 467 and the other 3 are well over 1200.

From last year's experience number of pics was not directly proportion to battery life.

All the batteries were bought at the same time with the same expiration. One is out of the equation because it was replaced 2 months ago but these 3 all have the same settings and all have a direct link to the home camera without daisy chasing though another camera. All have pretty close to the same signal also.

There is 105 d cell rayovacs alkalines on ebay for around 65$. Expiration date is 2025 or 2026. Think they are alright? Also anyone have any problem with ants getting in the little front flap where the buttons are? Ive had 8 cameras packed full of ants so far.

im using these form that same seller and they work fine. thats a great price on a great battery.

I put new batteries yesterday in one of my 3358 battery packs. This mornings report doesn’t show an external on that camera yet. Does it take a couple days?

All 5 of the cameras are linked to the home but none are daisy chained. It’s camera 4.

Same here, on one of my G’s, I added the pack, but I guess I didn’t turn camera off. It must not automatically switch to externals. I pulled batteries and restarted. You might have to just turn it off and back on.

I thought that might be it. Unfortunately I’ve been stuck at the gate on a Dreamliner at O’Hare for the last 2 hours and won’t be home to correct it for 10 days.

is it possible to install the strobe flash into the Model K-5789? I deployed my first G series camera last night with a strobe and already got some great night color pictures. I put in on the trail entering my new Throw-Mow flood plot. Very happy with it (camera and throw-mow)

Everything I’ve read says you can put one in a K but I’d confirm it with others. I have 3 G cameras with strobes and love them.

They are interchangeable with G and K

Ok. Tried getting the data off of these to see the battery percentage but am not having any luck doing it. Can someone help me out. The one pic I had cropped to text it to someone so that is why it doesn't have the data bar on the bottom.

Go to your email, download pic to desktop then open it in your exif program. I have a Mac computer I had to download a a program to pull all of it. exifdata.com

Yes these are off the SD card. I don't have a cell cam.

I attached the pic on here. I pull them off the sd on a sd card reader on my phone.

How nice is Cuddelink with a Cell camera? Right now I’m standing in the pool at Ocean Maya Royale 60 miles south of Cancun checking the 40 pictures I just got.

I have an iPhone so that is probably it. I tried the exifdata and I got information but nothing on the battery. I thought maybe I wasn't doing something right. I will have try to bring a card home sometime and take if off on the computer and see if it works.

I've downloaded 4 metadata apps on my iPhone, none of them pulled anything but basic data.
