The water has been so high in my marsh in previous years, that we are seeing 6x6 deer now...
I planted a honey locust tree by my deer blind. I grabbed a seed pod that got hung up in a pine tree and got two seeds to germinate. I nursed this tree along in pots for two years before putting it in its forever place. Neighbor had one in his yard ( where I found the seed pod) and said the deer scarfed up those pods as fast as they hit the ground.She’s the kind you’d marry.
No that’s not a tongue. It’s a honey locust seed pod..

I’d rip that thing up now and burn it.
It’s true deer eat the pods. But those trees can become a menace.

That is a little deer. This picture was from a couple years ago, I just happen to bow hunt a lot that year, and this older fawn would act like this small plot was his, and he would chase everything off of it. He didnt care if it was a squirrel, a doe, turkeys, or even small bucks, that were much bigger then he was. It was fun to watch.
