40 miles north of Minneapolis. The larger chestnuts were from Forrest Keeling Nursery, they were 5' tall in rootmaker 3 gallon pots. The only ones that show some kind of life were started in 18 cell rm and transplanted in 1 gal. rm. They were permanently planted in the later part of August. We had 50 days of zero or colder for lows this last winter. I think my seedlings only made it because they were covered by 2' of snow.
