Can't have nothing

That makes me feel bad for complaining about my troubles.
The crazy thing is that snow can actually give an "igloo effect" and insulate blooms from freezing temperatures. In my case it probably isn't much, but at the critical threshold it might be just enough to save a few blooms. We were right at the 90% kill temp.

My two figs got hammered as usual. They will re-leaf and have one fruit crop instead of two.

My Eliza’s Choice crab apple got hit pretty hard. I have a grand daughter named Eliza is why I bought the the tree in the first place. It either gets hit by a late freeze or the fruits turn yellow and shrivel in the summer drought. Never got a mature fruit off it

Gonna have to get you some real late awakening trees like Turning Point...it was almost 80 here on Tuesday...22 this morning. I feel your pain...
thankfully my trees stayed dormant and hopefully will for at least a couple more days...more roller coaster temps coming next week....
It was 60 Sunday, Monday severe thunderstorms with an all day tornado warning, which then turned to sleet and snow overnight. snow squall yesterday afternoon and 23 this morning. 63 by Friday. Need to get my frost seeding and tree trimming done!

My dad has a bunch around his house that I'm going to attempt this with.

Hoping your conditions improve & you get some fruit, Swamper. Tree looks good overall.

Yes - the tree looks really healthy, puts on good growth - the timing has just not been favorable
