Bolu Double-D pear

I planted these Double-D pears this year, Feb 2025 . The one in the 5 foot tube grew the best, the smaller one I just fenced in and put a small piece of tube around it because of all the lower branches. I will provide updates on how these trees do in the future. The taller tree has a issue about on the middle of the tree , it goes all the way around , is that some type of canker / fireblight ? , will the tree survive ?. I've never seen anything like it on any of my other pear trees.

It's always windy here, I'm pretty sure the way I have it tied up it couldn't hit the wire , but you never know.

I have seen it happen to a couple of my pears, but I don't know what it is. I would cut it below the damage once dormant. Seeing as it is a pear, it will grow back quickly next year.
