Big Chicory stalks being eaten

That went down like spaghetti.

That went down like spaghetti.

Looks like they are going to do my mowing for me. It was hard to find a stalk today that hadn't been topped.

I think I posted a video last year of a couple of does eating ragweed. They can put a Shop Vac to shame when they are in feeding mode!

And an old doe carrying a baby can put away the groceries!

Nice looking chicory clover plot. what are you fertilizing that plot with?

PFFFTTT!!! That never happened! What kind of robotic deer is that? Or did you cover that stalk with molasses or something? EVERYONE KNOWS deer won't eat large woody chicory stalks, just like they won't eat stemmy clover!;)

Believe it or not, that plot has not had any fertilizer. The ground is actually rocky, but the soil fertility is very good. And moisture is also good in that low area.

LOL, this explains those UFO pics I have been getting - deer from outer space!!!!

Here is another good sequence I missed the first time.

Looks like the plant had already been topped, and the old doe took the rest of it off to the ground.
