Apple Porn?

Anyone have any nice blooming pictures yet, I'm not to that point in my nursery yet. I need to see some goodies.

I have LOTS of apples bloom was some time ago. I was literally on the ATV yesterday evening going to my best orchard because I wanted to take some apple photos for my new buddy CHUMMER. Unfortunately my allergies killed me the night before after working out all day and that orchard has something in it that darn near killed me. So I decided to wait and get photos later. Sorry.

Posted my fruit tree blossom pics in a thread awhile back, my pears and apples are about the size of a dime now. Always nice to see others pics though!

Here you go BV. The old Dolgo crab about the middle of April.

Thanks for thinking about me. I am hoping to have some photos next weekend. They are just starting to show. Calling for upper 20's tonight out of nowhere:(. Nice warm up after that.

Nice guys, thanks! Man Rick you have a nice came to get those bees so clear on the flowers!

Chummer, I promise to send you apple pics soon! And, you can bet your a$$ and all you can borrow against it that I am coming to Tug Hill before too long. I am waiting until I have some reason to be in New York for business and then take it from there. I trust you will give me pointers on sight seeing with enough advance notice.

Nice Don, what variety?

You got it.

Maya what cherry varieties do you have?

Since my wife said I was having apple sex, here is my apple porn photo. I went out tonight with a headlamp to get these and pollinate a few trees after the kids got to bed. The photo is Maypole pollen, a red-fleshed columnar crabapple. I collected pollen from Goldrush, Liberty, Dabinette, and Williams Pride last weekend. I used Goldrush to pollinate a Maypole flower and a couple Northpole flowers. I pulled the petals off those flowers to no bees will visit them and removed the rest of the flowers from that cluster. I may pollinate some others as they open but some got zapped by the cold weather. I'll see if I can use Maypole and Northpole pollen to pollinate anything not yet opened in my normal tree orchard this weekend.

Montmorency. We cant grow anything but tart up here.
Thats why I asked. We are iffy here for sweet cherries due to spring frosts. Hoping to get a high tunnel put up next year so I can start growing some stone fruit on dwarfing root stock where they are somewhat protected.
