2020 Shed Antlers

This was my public land haul this year. Best year I have had so far. Low deer numbers and waist high grasslands make it hard to beat the squirrels to them.

I also found one of my hit list bucks dead.... he had been hit by a car in December and wouldn’t put any weight on his front shoulder. I chased him all season, and hoped he would live through the injury since he kept chasing girls for a couple weeks after the hit. He would have been my biggest buck if I could have connected. He went 143” net as an 8-pointer.

One HELL of a buck for public land around here!

The wife was out for a walk today, on probably her last trip for morels and found this matched set laying 5’ apart. This was her first trip in the last 3+ weeks (3-4 walks/week) without finding mushrooms, but said this made up for it. Haha92AB86C2-1435-4DC9-8E3E-889BFA072231.jpeg
