When I went back to get better pictures all the blooms were gone. Had a terrible wind day(20-40 mph) so I guess it blew them all off. I did see this if this will help.
I live in a dry area for sure but the last couple months we’ve had rain at least once a week so I thought that would be enough. I have not fertilized though so will do that. Any ideas on how much fertilizer? Thanks for the info!
Can you tree experts tell me first what is causing the black spots and disease on my trees and second why three of my trees have yellowish golden leaves and my fourth one has dark green leaves?
I was in my elevated box blind with about a 10 mph wind. I opened a downwind window to see if the does at my neighbors feeder 500 yds away could smell me. It only took about 5-10 seconds and they bolted like they were on fire. I now keep all windows closed until I get ready to shoot.
I have persimmon, white oak and red oak trees that are 2-3 years old. How often and how much should I water them when there is very little rain (maybe 1/4” here or 1/2” there)?
Is there a difference in winter versus summer in amount or frequency?
Thanks in advance!
I guess I’m in the 15%. Ha! I’ve done soil tests to get my PH. It varies from 7.5-8.0. I am planting white and red oak as well as the Osage that are supposed to do ok in my soil. I am adding sulphur a little at a time to lower the PH. But can’t afford to do that indefinitely. Thanks for your reply.
I gave red oak and Osage orange trees in containers. When should I plant them in the ground? Should I do it now or wait till they bloom? Do freezing temps hurt after I plant? I’m really a novice at this. Thanks in advance!!
