    Shuwater hybrid oaks

Thanks for the heads up! I bought the 6-pack too. Do you think these can handle seasonal flooding like a water oak?

    Grafting sealant

What works best for you for sealing 2"-3" top cuts on small trees to bark graft with 2 or 3 scions? I've seen the asphalt based tree kote, Doc Farwell's, wax rings and different types of caulk and glues mentioned on my Google research. Any of these or something else work best for you guys...

Thanks for the tip! I normally just check this page and didn't realize that section existed.

    Any duck habitat guys?

Unfortunately our pond goes as the weather goes. Can't rely on that to plant and then flood. That's why I'm looking into more permanent plantings that can handle flooding or being dry during some summers

    Any duck habitat guys?

I was wondering what trees and shrubs any of the duck hunters on here plant in wet areas (seasonal flooding) From what I have read I would have to put the Nuttall oak at the top. I know Pin oaks are popular north of me (I'm in GA), but I've also heard we misidentify Willow oaks as Pins down...

Habitat tools that work for you

Will hack n squirt with Roundup work while trees are dormant? For some reason I've always used Tordon RTU in the winter but gly would be alot cheaper if it kills the same

You can get the water storing crystals on Amazon as well.

Habitat tools that work for you

Is there any particular kind/brand of gloves that are tough in the briars/brush but still easy to maneuver your fingers? I have always just used the yellow leather gloves but I don't seem to be able to move my fingers well in them.

    Japanese Persimmon?

Has anyone had luck with any improved American varieties (or Asian/crosses if they drop from the tree)? I'm looking at England's Orchard, and he has alot of varieties. I'm just trying to get some that produce heavily on the largest trees (most pounds of fruit per tree).
