It’s some tough weed. Had it between the neighbors and our place when I bought. I ignored it for a few summers.
This summer the war started.
Let it get big and cut it down. Used a paint brush and applied straight roundup to the cuts. then for good measure I filled some of the hollow stalks with round up. They toasted quickly.
Since then any sprouts get a HEAVY dose of 24d and GLY. Sprayed sprouts for the third time today.
Something tells me the battle will continue next summer.
