Anyone else make this? It was good but not mind-blowing. I will make it again next summer.

Recipe?

You have to pick a bunch of flowers, and pull the petals off. Steep the petals in boiling water til they turn brown and the water turns purple.

Dilute with about 4x as much waterAdd lemon juice and sugar to taste.

You can cook it down with the same amount of sugar to make a syrup, which will keep better and take less space. Then dilute it out as you drink it.

what does it taste like? and... lol, don't say "sweet lemon juice" ... I was curious enough to look up fireweed and the usda chart says it grows around here. Sumac lemonade is something I am more familiar with.

Don't they make that flavor in a Mike's?

It tastes kinda like flowers. The closest thing might be rosehip cordial.

Something to try no doubt, i printed off some info on it... if I ever get the time and find the plants I may give it a whirl - cool post thanks
