Well this year the cutleaf teasel has gotten totally out of control. In one corner of the field, the teasel has formed a total monoculture that is basically impenetrable to humans and any type of game animal. I think it's a refuge for mice and voles, because I found a lot of girdled saplings...

Same happened to me. Doing intentional cold plunges helps to remove the shock of extreme cold exposure. It also increases awareness of the risk of unintentional cold exposure. It has been a very interesting process.
