What did you do to fertilizer the conifers, and does it work? I usually just grab a few lumps of deer shit and throw it at the bottom of the hole when I am planting.

Last year I planted 5 apple trees on the edge of our backyard and the hayfield not thinking of protecting them because we hardly ever havr deer in our yard but I was wrong, I lost 4 of the 5 and the 5th has just a few leaves. So I staked out a 60' X 100' area and fenced it in so I can plant some more fruit trees and put a garden in there.
Lone survivor
I bought a 330' roll of 6' poly fencing and it ended up being a little over 300' so luckily I had some 6' chain link fencing to finish it up, also repurposed an old cattle gate that I had sitting around. I got remimbursed for the shortage of fence.
My fruit orchard out back has a decent amount of fruit on the trees.
I bought some fruit trees on sale for half off a Empire, Braeburn and Kieffer pear. The 2 apple tress will be planted in our yard orchard and the pear was for the deer.
I planted some curly willow cuttings in pots by the house most are about 3' now.
I got my brassica plots planted.

After
This spring I broadcast med red, crimson and ladino clover and rye, oats and wheat into last years brassica plot, over the winter I lost a lot of my current clover/alfalfa plot so I'm just going to let the brassica plot go and plant cereal grains in the old clover plot.
A few trail cam pics.
This little guy was curious the last time I pulled cards.
The stork shot is pretty cool lol.
How cool is the weather there? Supposed to be around 82 for the high here tomorrow, which is unheard of! Usually Lucifer vacations here in July and August, feels right at home.

We've had some warm weather and high humidity here the last little bit but we had storms come through the other night and the humidity dropped along with the temps, high in the mid 70's today.
Love the old tractor! We used to have an 8N jubilee that we used for all kinds of small jobs, great tractor and easy to work on.
Nice bunch of bucks using the place...good update.
They are hot to sit on all day, I used to drag a bush hog on the back of ours all day long chopping stalks and mowing in summer.
Our Case 930 was where I spent most of my time, I thought I was in deep cotton when Dad finally put a fender radio on it for me..even though it only got AM radio! He thought he was spoiling me when he would put a wind protector on it in winter so I wouldn't freeze to death hauling manure in Jan-Feb. Those were the days!
