Peach tree questions

One of my 7-8 year old peach tree has a vase shape and it appears as though two of the 4 laterals is dead. I have not done anything, but little surprised two may be dead and the other two are fine. I bought 6 new peach trees this week and am debating replacing it entirely versus other options. Any suggestions i am not a peach expert.

I'm in Indiana, I have little to no luck with them. Mine have a lot of scars and generally look unhealthy.

I just saw avg life span is 12 years. I am taking it out.
