local gc has a few of these lefty marked down to 13 bux each, in fruit already. But good grief I 've been around plants most of my life and never heard of em.

I dont know how well it drops from the tree ... its mainly a European known fruit - from the middle east i think, I looked into them a few years ago and we are on the edge of where they say they can be grown, they really need to be left on the tree till they soften before eating, left on even after frosts - they kind of have to rot down before you eat them... or store them till they soften. They are supposed to have a good flavor - could be the new secret weapon you wont find hardly anybody that grows them.
