i have a tee handle that threads onto my ramrod. i keep it in my coat pocket with my reloads. it only adds a couple seconds and who cares about that, it's a muzzleloader.

You don't mention what powder you are using?
I used to use Triple 7 loose powder and the shockwave sabots. I needed to swab between shots as the powder residue made the second shot very hard to seat all the way. That was a pain during a hunt.

I switched last year to Blackhorn 209 loose powder and no longer need to do the swab and it is easier to clean. I also switched to the Hornady sabots as these grouped better than the shockwaves in my gun.

Try experimenting with different powders and bullets to find the combo your rifle likes.

I have used Triple 7 and Prrodex both in pellet forms. I might try the Blackhorn as well. Sounds like I will need a day at the range this spring.
