Late hanging persimmon

NE PA QDM

5 year old buck +
These are two persimmon that I planted 5 years ago. They made their first fruit this year and are still hanging on the them. If they do this on a regular basis in the future it could be a good late-season food source. I ate a few the other day, they are still good. IMG_6075.JPGIMG_6076.JPG

Wow! That is sweet! May I ask where you got them?

Early production and late hanging, sounds like a winner!

They were seedlings from MDC. They are in a good spot with full sun and they've been babied for sure.

I know where I'd be every afternoon during flintlock season. Until the freezer was full or I was out of tags.
