Hawggardville

If you are going to try and fool us at least remove the date/time stamp from your photos. That buck is from Nov. 2012. ;):D

The camera says it is but trust me it's a this year pic. I've never been good at keep the old a5 moultry cams up to date. I think it also says 9:46 pm and it get dark before then. Also if you look behind the deer you will see the pine trees we planted match that from an update earlier this year vs the tiny branches we put in the ground 3 years ago lol.

LOL. I can vouch for him bueller. I already asked about who was in charge of setting the date on the camera. I know we're a lot farther south, but even our bucks aren't in velvet in Nov.

Maybe we will catching in another month or two

Beautiful properties and your hard work shines through in the pics. Looking forward to following along.

Let me know when you are on the way with them frogs. Will meet you at bald knob and we can cook them dudes up in the harps parking lot.

Went up today and did a few t buds in the rain. I have a black walnut tree that makes pretty big walnuts I've been wanting to save so I grafted it to a few young trees in an old grown up pasture. Ate a Dayton apple and checked our cards. Had a strange looking buck. I'll call him Chernobyl.

Did several on trees this size and a few pecans as well. The bark was tighter on the pecans so I'm not sure how they'll do, but we'll find out next spring.20160816_135247.jpeg20160816_133421.jpeg 20160816_142727_resized.jpg

Just noticed my pecan was actually a white oak I slipped a swamp chestnut oak bud in. Never heard of anyone t budding oaks, but I thought I'd try.

I haven't tried it but if your white oak root stock is vigorously growing I think it could work.

Another pic of are Chernobyl buck needs another year or two.

You have a great looking place. We get 1 or 2 of these crazy looking bucks every year. They mostly seem to straighten up with age. How are beans holding up?

The beans are just starting to flower. I really needed to spray round-up on them again since they're getting weedy, but they've held up to the deer great.

Got one of my Chinese chestnuts from wbp planted today was still growing at the house and over 6 feet tall.

Very nice!
I'm about ready to go on a planting spree here too. I've got a bunch of chestnuts, apples and spruce to put out in the next couple of weeks. I want to get it all done before bow season comes in so all I'll have to worry about is watering and which buck to shoot.

Yeah I till got a ton of chestnuts, white pines, apples and pears left. The heat is about to break here I hope so I'm planting a few Everytime we head up.

Good looking chestnut!

Been hanging stands this morning and plan on sitting in one this evening.
Our winter plots have started growing pretty good with the rain we had two weeks ago.
