Dang, your guys's pics of apples make me jealous! I'm thrilled that something I planted produced 10-15 crabs this yr. I have an AB planted... i will probably be retired by the time it produces more than a handful.

I have a 20+ Arkansas black and it produces like gangbusters. What I like most, is that it holds apples well into November and December. I plan to add a few more at the camp... ya gotta get em in the ground for the clock to start. That said, I am as impatient as everyone else!!
I have 4 and all producing but too well as many of the apples are small. I need to thin better next year. Haven't picked yet. Makes great ciderfor sure
Do you guys like to eat them off the tree? Too mushy/texture is just off for my liking. My girlfriend didn't like them either. Still holding in east central, MN.
I like tasting them all too but how do you know it is ripe if you've never tasted one before? I got 75 varieties planted and only one of them I've ever bought at a store.
