I think a lot of us whose fathers, grandfathers, and uncles fought in WWII have an affinity for WWII movies and TV shows having grown up in the 60's, 70's and 80's on a steady TV diet of them. Some of the WWII classics, while they evoke powerful memories of our youth, are just TRULY TERRIBLE! However, they are the kind of movies that are SO BAD, they become GOOD. Here are a few:
Kelley's Heroes...bizarre!
The Battle of the Bulge...truly terrible.
The Dirty Dozen...another howler.
And I'm going to say it...probably going to hell for saying it...but...To Hell and Back starring...yes, I know....Audie Murphy. A terrible flick.
But I'd watch them all again 1 more time...
