My uncle took a younger 9 point Sunday morning and we have snow this morning up by Ashland I’m not really hunting up here this week just visiting family for Thanksgiving but this snow really is making me want to hunt taking a track in the national forest and staying on it all day is my favorite way to hunt.

I heard at least 3x the amount of shots on opener as I did last year, but that's all relative.

The barrels will be warm this weekend on the doe harvest, I'm sure.

I saw 2 opening day and passed on both. A small buck and a doe. My buddy’s son shot a doe and my buddy shot a nubby. We all saw a few deer. I did not see anything Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday morning. Opening day seemed to have good activity around us. Haven’t had anything on camera since the weekend. If my son wants to go for a couple days we will be back at it Friday. Otherwise, I’m ready to be done.
