Will this work ?

First off, I didn’t build this myself, I have a good friend who fabricates for a living and he built, or rather rebuilt it. He first built a roller for me, some years ago, and it turned out that it was just an extra step that was not needed to plant clover. It has sat down at my shop for a number of years, and since I’m about to change up the way I plant, I decided I needed a crimper. There was a lot of work to do since I was going from a drag roller to a three point crimper, but he’s an excellent fabricator and I knew it would be right. I gave him some measurements, a couple of pictures of crimpers, and I picked it up today. The drum is not as big as the commercial ones, but it’s still pretty heavy, and I can fill it with water if necessary. IMG_1984.jpegIMG_1983.jpeg

If it rolls it sure should work.

This looks pretty sweet. Is there an axle or spindle that the cylinder spins on?

Yes there is, with two pillow block bearings and grease zerks.

Nice
