Wild Fruits

Teeder

5 year old buck +
I've slowly been releasing the wild apples and pears on my hunting property. Seeing some good results this year! I don't know how big they'll get, but they look nice now.

Wild crabs and apples are a gem!

They are adapted to your soils, environment, and the disease pressure. I feel many of our wild crabs and apples have been ignored by those in the hard cider industry as well.

Growing open pollinated seeds is a gamble, but I have been happy with most of the seedlings I have grown from larger wild crab apples. They just seem to be more carefree to grow and winter kills off those who lack the hardiness first my climate.
