Who ate all my fruit and chew the branches?

Sorry it took me so long to get these pics. The scars are healing now and closely they do not look like they were chewed but some sort of disease instead. Either way help me figure out what is going on here

Cicadas lay their eggs and when they hatch it looks like that.

Not likely, you can see how they have already started healing. I suppose they could lead to a higher incidence of fire blight if they cuts were open during a time when fire blight is active.
