What's your weapon of choice?

Was still using my '00 Mathews Q2 until I upgraded this year to my dad's '01 Hoyt Vortec with XT2000 limbs. Only able to bowhunt 3 times so far this year. My slug gun I bought used in '97. It's a Savage 210 that shoots 3" Partition Gold slugs. Zeiss 3x9 scope. Hoping it booms this Friday.

Hasn't changed much since 1996.

Crap! 3 minutes after I took that photo this morning, a beautiful shooter 8 point came through following those does. He was a little far for me to take an ethical shot. But before I climbed down, I shot a judo at a leaf where he was standing...KILL SHOT!

MP ... a question has to be asked ... I assume your background includes more than just hunting deer? :emoji_wink:

Yep. I have a great GSP bird dog. Pheasants, grouse, Timberdoodle, Prairie chickens and quail. I’m amazed you picked up on all that from one picture.

I looked through my pics...this might be the buck. Not a huge trophy, but he's in the upper class here this year. And not bad with traditional equipment. Wish I could have gotten a shot... ain't bowhunting great? :-))
I love it that a buck can be in your lap and still walk away!

It's essential equipment. Too many arrows hit the ground without it.
Too much gadgetry for you guys?lol!

Why shoot such heavy draw weights and then shoot a 20 gauge slug gun?

True - I had one so worn out one time that the glue didn’t hold anymore. I was a poor kid back then, or at least cheap, so rather than replace it I just wrapped it up with electrical tape. Makes my whisker biscuit seem high tech for sure.

Rem 700 action chambered in .300 Weatherby, Kreiger barrell, Canjar trigger, action has been honed and gun has been blueprinted. Leuopold scope on top. It works... If I miss it ain't the gun. ;)

Dang, not saying Im wimpy, but I don't think I could draw that back after sitting in a treestand for 2 hrs in 15 degree weather layered up properly to stay warm for our climate.

Rifle - Rem 700 22-250, everything from predator to prey

Pistol - Kimber 1911 tactical 45acp

Shotgun - Benelli Super black eagle, another original bought in high school new piece, hasn't let me down yet.
