What is this weed?

My mom wants to know what is this vine that is consuming her flowers. It has no leaves just looks like a string that keeps growing all over her flowers.

that is dodder, a parasite, inserts a peg like "root" into the host plant and draws all nutrition from it, having no chlorophyll of its own.
