Up North With the Boys

H20fwler

5 year old buck +
Headed north with my two sons and the dogs for a few days.

Was very dry but we caught the fall foliage in all its splendor, the north country is truly beautiful. It sure is different than our flat farmland down here busy with people.

Saw plenty of birds hit a few missed a lot, had a great time. The dogs did outstanding and were a pure joy to watch.
Hardly any woodcock around with it being so dry.
Saw way to many wolf tracks and ran into bear hunters a few times…one group had just gotten a nice one.

Had tailgate lunches of smoked salmon and aged sharp cheddar ever day.

Best part of the trip was spending time with and talking with my sons, they have turned into such fine young men and fathers.
I am sure noticing my age after miles and miles of walking…sore knees and lower back in the mornings. It does suck getting old.

Hardly took any pics, I’ll share the few we did.
