Uncatagorized.....things we see....

I don't sweat people killing snakes. Hell, I've gone on rattlesnake hunts so I can't complain. I'd just rather mess with them and then turn them loose.
A venomous snake doesn’t make it if I see it!

Spent the weekend in Iowa City. What a great town! Spent some time with Holly and Linda. Linda was the GM and Head Coach the season the wife spent with the WNBA. She's an amazing person. And of course we got to watch Clark play.

Oh no, no, no. I see how I worded that wrong. She's a certified Athletic Trainer. She was basically the team's medical personnel. She did play college basketball and volleyball but wasn't WNBA good (even though she beat several them in horse and 1 on 1 while jacking around after practices). It was cool to see her on TV during games (I stayed in KS while she was on the west coast for the season), and it was cool to get to know all the players. But no, she wasn't one of them. Still have some contacts though which has made for a few fun weekends.

That’s cool, I’m sure it was pretty fun traveling with a pro team.

She loved it! Was a dream come true for her. It's pretty cool to me too. Not uncommon to see people on TV you know.

You ever watch live on patrol? Might see a few you know there.

Wish I'd taken more pics as I opened it up.

And it's true "no till", no nothing. You can't get a shovel in the ground, so even if I had equipment, and a way to get it there, it's all rocks a tree roots. lol My prep is blowing off the leaves, then REALLY over seeding with tiny seeds like clover and turnips, then praying some of it gets in the ground. No leaf blowing this weekend, it rained constantly the whole time I was there.

You could actually clear it and actually plow it, it was a farm field probably from the mid 1700's to the 1940's. Most of the big trees logged out of it in the late 80s, early 90s.

I bought these Sitka pants in the fall of 22 for spring turkey hunting. I got too fat by spring of 23, and they didn't fit. I finally dropped some weight, and pulled them out of the bin (still brand new, minus tags) assuming they would fit. They're still way to tight. Who wants to guess what size they're labelled as? The waist is too small, and the legs are crazy narrow. I emailed Sitka's support to see if they'll do anything for me?

Seems to me that you may have developed a new plotting strategy: BLOW AND THROW. Not to be confused with throw and mow. Grin

Tho I do think that anything you could do to drag or pack after scattering seeds could help your efforts.

I tilled the soil by dragging tree branches and and logs away. 😊
I seeded those areas, so I will get something out of it.
