Turkey Time

I've never really turkey hunted, but sent a friend and his boys to the property yesterday. My buddy that works with me down there went to call for them. Nothing for an hour, so they decided to move into the pines. One call got a response. Four minutes later, this happened. Recruiting young hunters one bird at a time!

Very cool. I’ve gotten into them the last couple of years more so than ever. My property is not a great turkey spot, but if I have enough patience, they’ll normally work through at some point. I’m planning on trying some runnin’ and gunnin’ on some WMAs for the first time this year.
