Tree Tubes for Black Cherry, Mexican Plum, and Black Gum

Yearling... With promise
I will be planting some seedlings on the farm in North West AL in a couple of weeks and was wondering is it necessary to protect black cherry, Mexican plum, and black gums from browse? I have enough tree tubes, but also have some weld wire fencing and corrugated pipe. Should I worry with the tubes, or save them for some future hard mast seedlings and use the fencing and pipe to protect the soft mast trees?

Rabbits in my area love to girdle plums. Once they are established it doesn't matter because they will naturally sucker from roots. Starting them I would protect them for a year or two.
