Tree Spud

He’s usually on here quite a bit ? Anybody know him ?

Sandbur?

Off and on I'd spend some time searching obituaries in WI for men named Tom. Unfortunately tonight I found it. There's a nice tribute video in there with some pictures we've seen. Rest in peace, buddy.

RIP Tree Spud. Way too young, F cancer.

I really appreciated his knowledge on a lot of things, especially habitat in the upper Midwest.

I'm sorry to read that. He was one of the good ones in the world.

Geez, way back to the QDMA days. Godspeed

Very sorry to learn this. Tom was member here in our infancy, long before QDMA closed up shop.
We all lost a good friend here.

That’s a bummer ! Unbelievable

Sad news. He was a good guy.

Everyone one of us will walk out of the woods after a deer hunt for the last time. Won't know it then. Be sure to hunt this season like it's your last.

4 year battle with cancer and I dont recall him posting about it at all. Wasn't a complainer!

RIP Tree Spud and thanks for your contributions to habitat enthusiasts!

It just occurred to me the (presumed) answer to something I have wondered in the past. In the meme thread, I always wondered why it was titled, "laughter is good medicine" and now maybe we know why Tree Spud titled it that way?

Sad to hear this. His property was two counties over from mine and although we never met in person, we communicated frequently through these deer forums and were both OG members here. I spent the last hour going through some of our old DM's. He really was an upstanding, humble man. It also reminded me how much the drama of the early days bothered him and pushed him and others away at times. Glad we got through all that (credit to Bill) and he stuck around to his final days. R.I.P. Tree Spud, I'll be thinking of you in a couple weeks as I look east towards Marquette County watching the sunrise opening morning.

I always enjoyed his posts too.

Rest in peace my habitat friend.
