I have decided to try and do this kind of a food plot. What should my spacing be for apples and persimmons?

Personally I would go a minimum of 20' between apples, I cant speak to persimmons spacing.

Why are you planting apples/crab apples separately?

I wasn't planning on it the picture is just a reference. But would really like to know my persimmion spacing

I only have a few mature persimmons. They are taller than a pear or apple but do not spread like an apple or Chestnut tree. I would think 30 foot centers would be a good number. If you had inexpensive persimmon trees, I would start on 10 or 15 foot spacing and thin as they get bigger. And plant the persimmons on the north side

I am planting apple trees this year for the first time. I am planting different varieties as I believe I am supposed to. My question in spacing is this - Am I OK to plant these trees in a straight line meaning tree A will be 60' from tree C (with tree B in the middle) or should they be in some more of a circular or triangle type arrangement so that A and C are closer to each other?

Sorry for the dumb rookie question like this.

A line is typically preferred unless you leave plenty of space between trees as you dont want one or more trees shading the others for part of the day if you can avoid it

Also consider planting on a north to south line if possible so that the trees get maximum sunlight and are not shaded by the others.

Good stuff guys. I was hoping a straight line was OK and I will take the advice of a north/south line.
