what are the crystals that people put on the roots of their trees when they move them? and where can I find them?

Terra-sorb, should be able to find at most garden centers, maybe TSC

Soil Moist is another brand name. You can also buy cheap generic "water absorbing polymers" online. They come in different grain sizes, I prefer small to medium.

You can also google Watersorb and WaterKeep. They are polymers that absorb many times their weight in water. When I use them, I make a slurry and dunk the root balls in the slurry before planting.
