Transformer Hunt Pod or something similar?

Foggy47

5 year old buck +
Stumbled across an interesting thread on Facebook regarding an interesting portable deer stand. I always wanted something along these lines to check out a new location on my property without building a more permanent blind (until you know you like the area). Anyone have something like this or know of one being made?

I use a millennium tripod for the same purpose. When I want to try out a new area before putting something permanent.
I do find you need to have some trees around. If not you stick out like a sore thumb. That said I had a doe one time look at me and literally walk right under my feet without spooking so maybe they think you are just a small cedar or something.

I feel like those are about the worst option for alerting deer of your presence. Dont blend in with a tree and there isn't anything breaking up the human outline. There was one on my property when I bought it, i've never hunted out of it.

I feel that way anytime I’m in one wind. I pull them back in the tree line which helps some.

If in the open it is the definition of skylining.

My friend had one on his property and I didn’t like it at all. It wasn’t easy to get into and you stuck out like a sore thumb. I prefer using ladder stands or ground blinds to check out an area before deciding to put a large permanent stand in an area.

Wish I had pictures but I had a tripod that I outfitted with old artificial Christmas tree limbs. I was amazed at how long they stand up to tue elements. But I combined 2 tripods so it was taller and it was tucked into some brush.

I had to watch several videos to finally see someone get in the thing. Looked pretty straight forward and simple.
(my South Texas Tripod is dangerous and downright terrifying in the dark trying to get in/out of it)

Not too high, but in some places just getting up above the brush would be helpful.

I just bought something similar for that reason. I wanted something easy and relatively quiet to move around during the season. I can put it up against a tree if I want to but it's not necessary. Got it on super sale at Menards.
