Tallest growing millet

Yearling... With promise
What is the tallest growing millet?
I’m considering replacing my flooded corn duck hole with millet next year just as a rotational change to help control broadleafs particularly cocklebur.

I have a section that is nearly chest high ( you can use chest waders but you need to keep them tight. I know all millet mats down as it matures. What are your thoughts?

Anything other seed to consider?

Chiwappa millet. Doesnt lay down as bad because it has a very thick stem. I have grown some over five ft tall. Specialty seed about the only place that sells it. Long maturity - over 100 days

Use imi tolerant sorghum/milo and spray preplant then post plant with Imox or imazethapry.

Make sure you get the grain variety.

Something to consider if the ground is wet where you're planning to plant - some common millets, like Proso, German, Brown Top are not great performers on wet ground, rated as no better than "fair" in wet dirt. Japanese Millet kicks but in wetter soils. No idea about Chiwappa.

Chiwappa grows great in wet
