Switch grass maintenance

I have a strip of switchgrass I use as a screen for a food plot. I want to mow it vs burn it this spring. What timeframe should I avoid for newborn fawns? I'm located in the UP of Michigan.

Probably right now, walk it (if small) take an hour make sure nothing is in the grass

Soil temp is only 46 degrees right now at the surface in central wi. Warm season grasses haven't even rolled over in their beds yet. I'm gonna spray some of mine today.
