Sunflowers

Doves really like ragweed seed too, so it’s not a bad one to have in a deer or dove plot.

I have wheat I left from last year as my dove plot. I just ran it over and sprayed weeds so in a week or two I’ll be able to burn it. Decent amount of ragweed which should help. Seed is seed.

Looks like this all the way around the pond, doves constantly flushing out of them close.
Plenty of bare area for them to land right in them.

I think they came in pretty decent for just broadcasting on top of dirt.

Interesting that most of the herbaceous species in that list are " undesirables" for planted deer plots
