The 5th Senior Hunt sponsored by Baptist Homes & Healthcare Ministries and the National Deer Association resulted in two deer being harvest. This harvest was by a 94 year old hunter who was “reactivated” after 30 years. The work and effort of our volunteers to make this happening is as heartwarming as the results! In addition to deer, hunters enjoyed sightings of turkeys, bobcats, skunks and eagles.
An additional deer was taken during today’s hunt. One first-time hunter was 94 and enjoyed a successful hunt on the last day of Missouri’s firearms season. Over the course of the hunt we saw 25 deer and 20 plus turkey.
