Apparently my oldest son. He is looking at beach front houses, Maserati and Lambo SUV's. I asked why an SUV and he said so his dog could lay down in the back seat while he was cruising down the road. He sent me a text the other day letting me know how much he made overnight. I could retire on that one hit.

I wish I could understand and have asked him several times to show me what he is doing, but he shows me similar things to what you post. Just flashes it on his phone and walks away so I don't get a full grasp on it. He watches it dip/recover/dip until it hits a bottom and shows recovery, then he buys in. He usually goes in with an expectation to make $20ish K in 5-10 minutes and closes, but he went in deep on oil twice now and it paid off. Essentially what I have made my entire life working and in stocks on two trades. SMH

I made a post bout how electricity is priced. The harder to get / profit oil that is required to meet demand sets the price. Easy picking oil profits a ton, stuff barely coming out of the ground a million miles away gets their bills paid. PRety much how every comodity in the world is done.
I used to get flown by helicopter to get a gas turbine started on the hamptons long island NY. Serial #3 GE gas turbine 1961/2 vintage. The grid needed that gas turbine, the real time demand market would go nuts. That extra push out of your main units made millions. Used to paint the sky pruple with so much NOx from these old units.

I guess helium is a problem now. Need it to make chips. Helium is easiest to get from separating natural gas. Some areas have it more than others.

Only if my investment thesis has changed. I’ve had numerous positions down 40% on their way to a 10x. I rarely sell anything these days. But I’m an investor, not a trader.
Always remember that most people buy at the top and sell at the bottom.
If you’re just getting started, read some books on behavioral finance. It will save you some growing pains.
I sold off some IEP last year and will again this year if it does not recover. Its been on a steady ride to China.

We keep blowing up stuff over there and Venesuela needs new equipment too. Might be worth looking into who makes refinery and oil equipment. Ge verona, baker hughes, and the power to run this stuff too.

And I don’t want to come across as an investing expert, I’m not. I have been investing for 25 years, but really only actively for 10. I literally knew nothing. I didn’t understand rates, bonds, valuations, etc. I started listening to CNBC hours each day and following multiple financial podcasts. It takes time but you do slowly start learning and it snow balls from there. I personally think the best podcasts right now are all from the Ritholz Wealth Management Group…. The Compound and Friends, Animal Spirits, Ask Ben, Talking Wealth, etc. I also like to throw some bears in there to get that perspective.. That would be Risk Reversal and On The Tape. A good daily recap of the top movers and themes is Motley Fool’s podcast.

Anyone selling and waiting for this slump to end?
He is trading on FOREX, not trading futures. He didn't make quite what I thought he did, but he did really well and is looking for a beach front condo and a Lambo Urus. Said that would take about 1/5 of what he made. I watched him make $25K in just over 2 minutes last night. I need to work with him more to get a better understanding of what he is doing so I can retire soon.

I just don’t sell, I accumulate companies that pay me profits with gains or dividends! I might sell one company and buy another, but I’m always invested and buy more if we see a drop !
