Stock Market is the bottom in?

There's way more money floating around than metal. That's part of it. The other is, there's speculation that there's as much as 500% more silver sold short and naked than is produced in a year on the flat earth. One school of thought is banks are long silver and central banks are driving up the price. The other is the shorts got their b*lls frozen to the front porch and the longs have them cornered.

Who knows if any of that is true? All I know is thieves will always steal, and the steal has to be bigger every year to keep up their lifestyle. Thieves are affected by inflation too.

It looks more and more each day like I'm gonna get my Visa shares, and now way more UNP than I really wanted.

Yeah, but where is the money coming from? It's not being pulled out of stocks or real estate. It's probably not boomers looking for portfolio growth. Is it coming from Europe? Asia? Russia?

EVERYTHING is at all-time highs, and that is a very dangerous place to be. Something has to give. It's like stretching a big rubber band. Eventually it will break and come flying back in your face.

Not EVERYTHING. Note that a lot of cryptos are down over the last 12 months. Looks like Bitcoin is down over 12%. Many other crypto stocks are also negative. Looks like the 1's and 0's crowd is just hedging into the hard assets for a balance. On silver in particular, about Fing time. Silver was close to a 1:50 ratio with gold for a long time way back in the day and only recently got back to that. This is not just me looking at computer screens. Had some for almost 40 yrs and was a stellar under performer except for a few blips here and there for decades. When Bitcoin raced ahead at a bazillion percent, no one seemed to think the train was going off the rails than.

Will it last, nah. As someone else used the caps, EVERYTHING cycles. Well maybe not tulips...

There's not much 3rd world as there used to be.

Also, these metals aren't just for wealth. Gold and silver are used in electronics / power electric, medications, catalysts.

We were thinking of selling some sterling silver we have no interest in at home. I have a ton of silver wire for muzzleloader brazing, inleting, German silver parts. The lesser silver selling?

There are companies around me advertising. come to this hotel conference room on this date and we’ll pay top dollar for your unwanted silver. So I’d say yes.

Precious metals is what has me freaked out. Why is so much money moving into metals? It makes me think the big players are seeing something specific, and I'm peeing my pants over it.
10000%. I’d love to sell but am too scared too

Trying to convince wife to empty out unused jewelry. She needs her 1st husbands ring still? An earing she cant find the second one for 5 years?

I think we’re getting piles of money from central banks all over the world.

I have a Fidelity account. They let you see pre-market.

Have you been able to trade premarket with Trader+? I set my shortcuts to buy and sell limit with an offset, but in the order window it doesn't update to the premarket price. The Level 2 is showing the current order book, but the order just sits in the order window with "last price" still from yesterday.

Tried to short VERO but couldn't. Couldn't buy puts either. I think it's about to crash into the dirt.

Yes. But, I don't use shortcuts yet. It looks like for shortcuts, Last is last regular market. If I change to follow bid, or follow ask and an offset, it does follow the pre-market price.

Ok, I figured it out. I have to toggle the extended hours for every order, and it won't let me set my shortcuts to do that. I guess I will just have to use the shortcuts during market hours only.

Did you have to change the settings to trade premarket? I'm not used to the new layout after the switch.
I do have EXT selected in the chart window, but I'm not sure if I turned it on somewhere else. It looks like trading was halted on VERO though:

It's still Hard To Borrow on Fidelity, and options aren't allowed. Bummer because it just took an absolute dump.

Mine shows Options:

It looks like you have to apply to do either Options or Margin

SON OF A *****!!!!!

I fumbled my last trade bigtime. I kept trying to sell 1000 shares, but apparently I had only bought one. Cost me a lot of money. I can't use Trader+ for premarket day trading. Bummer because most of my money is there, and the margin they give me is incredible I hope they add hotkeys soon. Going back to Lightspeed for the rest of the day.

Oh well, there's always the next one.

Whoopsie. Had to cover up my account info.

That had to hurt. Like I said before, I'm new to this. I haven't used hotkeys before. But, have you looked at their programmable shortcut buttons? It seems like that would be similar, except you're clicking instead of keying.

FYI. Was checking with a few online places like Ampex for how they handle buying from you and they noted they are swamped right now and unless at least $10,000 worth don't bother us peasant, come back later.

I'm sure the local shops will still give you usual bid /ask gap screwing they all seem to do though. They will make time for you to line their pockets. But it's a business don't take it personal

I programmed the shortcuts. That was the problem; I did it wrong. You still have to manually select Day+Extended, which is annoying when you're trying to trade momentum. I called them and asked them to help me figure out what i was doing wrong. They confirmed you can't toggle Day+ on the shortcuts. I told them it should be an option, plus hotkeys, but I suspect I'm not their target audience. Maybe they will change their minds when the PDT rule changes.

Luckily it made a few more killer moves, and I was able to trade it in Lightspeed. I also racked up a fair amount of commissions and fees, but I guess that's what it costs for fast trade execution. It's a bit scary up here above $22, so I'm hands-off for now. It might do something interesting above $25 if it gets there.
