Yeah but definitely getting more and more reliant on government. Also seems ripe for the government to pick winners and losers on Wall Street by choosing where to invest. Idk maybe just being cynical but that’s generally a safe first assumption anytime the government is involved

I understand offering retirement plans and I think that's a great idea, I don't understand why they feel the need to match any money. That shouldn't be the taxpayer's responsibility IMO.

If you give this idea of the government (taxpayers) funding these "kids".....it is one way to fuel home buying and supporting the prices we have today. Same can be said for the stock market. Gotta have new buyers for things going forward.....and get folks off the streets and participating in the economy is in the public's interests. I do think it's inflationary - almost guarantees it.

I think it's a noble effort for the "Trump account" for kids. This is an adult's 401k, not the same. This is thinly veiled welfare, IMO
